School of hope _ Tutorial by Arijanit School of hope _ Tutorial by Arijanit
Well I am really torn if I should call this a tutorial or a step by step. But let's call it a tutorial, (makes me feel better) Take a look at the steps and notice details. What I do first and what I find important.

One tip is to divide things into layers. Like Hair Cloths, eyes, mouth. and when you really feel satified I tend to merge layers together and paint on top of them.

Well If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Q: what did you do to get the picture to have that grayish near the end?

Nice "tutorial" though ^-^

Those are adjustments - I tend to use (HUE AND SATURATION)(LEVELS) (COLOR BALANCE) (EXPOSURE) and (GRADIENT MAP) All of these can be added on the layers pallet if you press the jing and jang loking Ikon close to the new layer icon. By doing this instead of going to IMAGE-ADJUSTMENTS and then choosing one of the above mentioned adjustment you can do that in the layers pallet and they are saved as smart layers and can be changed at all time in difference from doing that right on the photo witch cant be changed.

Back to the question - Use EXPOSURE and take up the offset, by 0,0143 something until you get a desaturated picture and then add a CURVES - and play around until you get the contrast again just to take away the gray a bit and to add some color to the gray, use COLOR BALANCE . OR a GRADIENT and play with the layermoods, some ways of making the same effect :D Just have fun , the key is to try ever shit out so you know whats there.

Okay at first when I read this I was completely lost... but then I opened PS and then it clicked... I have to remember this. I remember going over some of these things in my PS college class, guess it's time for a refresher. ^-^ Thanks!

Yeah I know, kind of the reason why I did it. I've asked so many artist when I began painting about different matters. out of 300 maybe 3 of them gave response back. Crock of bullshit if you ask me.

3 out of 300! That is a bunch of bull. Hopefully others will pickup your good habit. I know I will!
